AT77 APK Not Installing

When the AT77 APK refuses to install, one of seven causes is almost always responsible. Work through them in order and you will resolve the issue in under 10 minutes.

Fix 1: Uninstall any existing AT77 version

"App not installed" usually means a previously installed AT77 build has a different signing certificate than the new download. This happens if the old install came from a third-party mirror. Uninstall: Settings → Apps → AT77 → Uninstall. Reinstall fresh. Your account and balance are on AT77's server, not the device — safe to uninstall.

Fix 2: Re-download the APK

"Parse error" means the APK file is incomplete or corrupted, usually from an interrupted download. Delete at77.apk from Downloads, turn off WiFi and use cellular (or vice versa), re-download from the official link.

Fix 3: Enable Install Unknown Apps

If Android refuses to even open the APK, you have not granted install permission to your browser. Settings → Apps → Special Access → Install Unknown Apps → Chrome → Allow. Try installing again.

Fix 4: Dismiss Play Protect warning

"Blocked by Play Protect" is a warning, not a block. Tap "More details", then "Install anyway". This appears on every non-Play-Store APK and is not specific to AT77.

Fix 5: Free up storage

The install needs 200 MB free for the APK plus temporary install workspace. Check Settings → Storage. Delete unused apps, clear WhatsApp media, or move photos to cloud. Then retry.

Fix 6: Disable battery optimisers and antivirus briefly

AVG, Kaspersky, and some OEM-bundled "phone cleaner" apps aggressively quarantine APKs. Disable them temporarily during install, then re-enable after AT77 is installed.

Fix 7: Check Android version

AT77 requires Android 7.0 or newer. Settings → About Phone → Android version. If you are on 6.x or older, AT77 cannot install — use the web version at at77.com instead.
